Personal statement feels like a resume, not a story?

admissions-essays ▲ 1 3 views 2026-10-13

I'm applying to a BSN program and my draft feels like a chronological list of my volunteer shifts instead of a cohesive argument. My counselor said my conclusion is weak, but I don't know how to pivot from telling my story to explaining why I'm a good fit for their specific curriculum. I have 500 words left to cut and need to make the flow feel more professional.
