Is a three-paper thesis acceptable if my supervisor wants a monograph?
Our department technically allows three related papers instead of one long chapter. My supervisor has been hinting for months that she expects a monograph and does not think the three papers will count. I want to know whether this is a real departmental requirement or just her preference.
