Do readers even like lyrical writing at all?
I have attempted lyrical prose a number of times in my life, but I have often failed for lack of skill. And I was told that I have a problem with clarity. Although in recent days, I seem to struggle with it less, I, for lack of skill, still have trouble achieving asthetically pleasing rhythm. So I can understand if people don't like writings of mine in which I attempted a lyrical sound, though I seldom post anything, or even write anything. But knowing, as I've been told, that many readers dislike complexity of language, I wonder if people even like lyrical language at all.
I want to write lyrical language, and I want such writing of mine to delighted in. Nevertheless, it appears that such writing is not prefered by many, though I'm not sure if I've actually been told this. My question is, "Do people even like lyrical writing at all, writing in which scansion is employed for effect?" Thank you for your answers.
